Åbo Akademi, in collaboration with Skolresurs and Svenska folkskolans vänner, organizes "Barnens Akademi" (the Children's Academy) — a series of free science workshops for children aged 7-12. [16, 22] The workshops are held in Turku, Vaasa, the Helsinki region, and Åland, focusing on various natural science topics and allowing children to conduct experiments and engage with science in a university environment. [16] Participants are divided into age groups (7-9 and 10-12 years) and receive their own lab coats and diplomas. [16]
