Joensuun Tanssiopisto

Joensuun Tanssiopisto (Joensuun tanssiopistoyhdistys ry) provides basic education in dance (taiteen perusopetus) for children and young people. It is offered as both a general syllabus (500 lessons) and an extended syllabus (1,300 lessons) leading to a certificate, with the City of Joensuu acting as the organising authority. A wide range of styles is taught, including hip hop, contemporary dance, breaking, house and dancehall. Children's dance for ages 3-7 is early-childhood education.
