Free school clubs in Tampere

Finland's hobby model (Harrastamisen Suomen malli) brings free hobbies to the school day. The clubs are free for comprehensive-school pupils and run right before or after lessons, usually at the child's own school.

How to find the clubs

Tampere publishes its clubs on its own page (Lupa liikkua, lupa harrastaa), where you can see which clubs are coming to which school.

Good to know

• The clubs are free of charge for the child.
• Most clubs are for the host school's own pupils — they are not open to every child in the city.
• The offering is rebuilt every semester, and enrolment is often open for only a few days in August and January.
